A letter full of art, every month.
Your artist pen pal, writing from my studio in Hamburg. Every month, I send you a fine art print of my latest work and a letter about how it came to be. Slowly, letter by letter, you build your own small collection.

What's inside? Every letter holds:

A original fine art print. A collectible print of the month's artwork, printed on fine art paper, 10x15 cm, hand signed. Made to be framed, pinned to the wall or kept in a box of small treasures.
A heartfelt letter from my studio. The story behind the piece: what inspired it, the colors I chose and why, and the moments in the process.
A letter designed down to the last detail. Everything arrives in a colored envelope, wrapped in a clear outer sleeve and sealed with my stickers. Opening it is part of the experience.
Each month, randomly selected members also find a little extra in their letter.

The studio extra
Each month, randomly selected members also find a surprise inside, like a small piece of my process, a canvas swatch from my color tests or a Polaroid from the studio. The first 20 members become Founding Members and receive it in every letter.

Why an art club

I started this club because I want my art to be for everyone.

So much of art today lives on a screen. We scroll past it in seconds. Mail full of art is my way of bringing it back into your hands.

Once a month, a letter arrives from my studio in Hamburg. Inside is a fine art print of the piece I have been working on and the story behind it. You open the envelope, take a moment and notice what the colors bring up in you.

Over time, your letters become a small collection. One that grew with my work, and with you.

I started this club because I want my art to be within reach for everyone, not only for those who buy originals. And because I want to stay connected with you beyond social media, in a slower, more personal way.

When was the last time you couldn't wait to check your mailbox?

As a child, I loved writing letters to my friends. We spent hours filling entire notebooks with letters, little drawings, stickers, silly secrets and all the tiny things we wanted to share with each other. There was something so special about receiving a letter, knowing someone had taken the time to write something just for you.

With Mail full of art, I want to bring that feeling back to life. A connection that lives on paper, in your hands and in your home, in a way social media never really can.

Think of me as your artist pen pal. Every month, I write to you from my studio. And you are always welcome to write back.

The studio extra

Become a Founding Member

Every month, randomly selected members find something extra in their envelope: a handwritten note from me and a small, unrepeatable piece of the process. It might be a canvas swatch from the color tests for that month's artwork, a Polaroid from my studio or something else that was part of the making. No two extras are the same. They are the traces a painting leaves behind before it is finished, and they exist only once.

The first 20 people to join Mail full of art become Founding Members. As a thank you for believing in this from the very beginning, they receive the studio extra in every single letter, for as long as their membership continues. No random draw, no waiting for their turn.

* Founding Member status stays with you as long as your subscription runs without interruption. If you cancel, your spot is released and cannot be reclaimed.

How it works

1. Join the club

Sign up in just a few clicks. If you join by the 10th, your first letter will be this month’s edition. If you join later, you’ll start with next month’s letter and it will be worth the wait.

2. I paint, you wait.

While a new piece slowly takes shape in my studio, I write to you about it: the idea behind it, the colors I chose and the moments that surprised me along the way. Then I print, pack and seal every letter by hand.

3. Your letter arrives.

Around the 15th of each month, your letter leaves my studio in Hamburg and makes its way to your mailbox. Take your time with it. Open it slowly, read my letter and notice what the artwork brings up in you.

4. Your collection grows.

Month by month, print by print, you build a small collection of my work, together with the stories behind it. Frame your favorites, pin them to your wall or keep them in your journal. Wherever they end up, they’re a little piece of my studio in your home.

Yes, I ship worldwide. International shipping costs 1,25€.

Each print measures 10x15 cm and is printed on Hahnemühle Fine Art Paper. It fits standard frames in that size, so it's easy to hang.

Founding Members receive it every month. All other members are part of the monthly draw and members are chosen at random each month.

Yes, anytime. You can cancel or change your address and payment details in your account. Changes made before the 10th of a month apply to the current month.

Each month's letter is made for the members of that month. Past prints are not reissued.

Yes. Choose a gift membership and enter the recipient's address at checkout.

Post can be slow and sometimes it gets lost. If your letter hasn't arrived by the end of the month, write to me at hello@janinagrupe.com and I'll make it right.

Yes. Your first payment is taken when you sign up. After that, your membership renews automatically on the 10th of each month, so you never miss a letter. If you choose a 3, 6 or 12-month membership, you'll find all upcoming payments in your account and you can cancel anytime before the next billing date.

It simply ends after your last letter. There is no automatic renewal and no further payment. Before your last letter, I'll let you know and if you'd like to stay pen pals, you can switch to the monthly membership anytime.
